Nothing picks up animal hair from floors/carpets as well as this vac. We have gone through several brands over the past 20 years,(including the great Rainbow vacuum scam- trust me, avoid that overpriced albatross at all costs!) and though this may seem pricey, you definitely get what you pay for (especially with the discounted price through Amazon.com). No messy expensive bags to change, either, and the HEPA filter makes it odorless, like none of the other machines we have owned in the past.
