Looking for Dyson DC25 Animal
Got my Dyson DC25 after much pondering about forking over almost $[...] for it. My aging, 7 year old kenmore bagless would barely lift pet hair. After unboxing it a few hours ago, and giving it a try, amazing amount of dust, pet dander and hairballs came out of a carpet that was, supposedly, freshly vacuumed a couple days ago. yuck!
I was expecting the dyson to be incredibly loud, louder than the kenmore I have. What a great surprise it was pretty darn quiet.
Putting the vacuum together was easy: snap in the motorized brush base, snap the clear flexible hose to the extensible handle, click, clack put the attachments to the side and done! I like the fact that you can turn off the motorized brushing action on and off with the push of a button.
Cable seems adequate, although it's a bit on the short side. Not to be considered a con, unless you have a house with a single power outlet.
One con, is that like most bagless, empyting the canister is kinda messy. Since suction action creates static electricity, it causes plastic to hold on to the cat/pet hairs.
