I purchased this vacuum after my second Shark canister died. I have all wood and tile floors, a constantly shedding dog and a few cats, two dirty boys, and would have to sweep a lot. The great thing about this vacuum is after I sweep, it picks up an embarrassing amount of hair, dust, and dirt. However, the really frustrating thing about this vacuum is that I have to sweep first. I figured for the price, it would eliminate that step. This vacuum is so low that it can't even pick up a skittle, not to mention the playground gravel my son brings home from school in his shoes. Also, I guess I was spoiled with a canister, because I like to not have to stop, put the vacuum in upright lock, tug and pull to get the strange wand out, attatch the flat head, just to vacuum under the sofa.
