This is absolutely the best vacuum cleaner I have ever owned. I have two cats and a dog who all shed quite a bit. Previous vacuums picked up the dirt, but only partially removed the animal hairs. My Dyson does a wonderful job and makes my carpets look like new. I've had this vacuum cleaner for several years now and I have never had one problem with it. Dyson came out with a newer model, but this one works like a charm, so I won't buy a new one yet.
