The Animal Ball is much better than the Animal regular vacuum. It is easier to maneuver, easier to clean, lighter, and seems to pickup dirt and hair as good as or better than the regular. It also gets under furniture better. There are only 2 drawbacks that I have noticed - One: The electric cord is about 25 to 30 percent shorter than before so you have to change plugs more frequently.
